Young people at St Andrew’s
We have a crèche with lots of toys where young children aged 0-4 will be cared for during our Sunday morning service by a team of volunteers from the congregation.
Our whole church family normally meets together for the first part of our service, after which the Junior Church (ages 5-10) and the young people (age 11-18) leave for their own sessions which are organised by age group. We use modern Christian teaching material from a variety of sources and have games and fun as well. Contact Rosemairi Evison.
Our 11-13 year olds form the Lazers group who meet to play games with a message, and to talk afterwards about how the message is relevant to us in our daily lives. Contact Maggie Macdonald.
Our 14-18 year olds - the Connexions - have a lot of fun together as we look at the Bible and learn what it says us and to know Jesus as our personal Saviour. We look at what Jesus’s death and resurrection means for each of us and we search for ways to learn more about God and how we can deepen our relationship with him. Contact Steffi Campbell Smith.
Once a month, normally on the third Sunday - but check the calendar, we have an all-age service as our Sunday morning worship. This is run by a dedicated team and includes music, drama, video clips, activities and a talk exploring a Bible story. We aim these services at all those aged between 0-100!
Jumping Jacks meets on Friday mornings for 0-4 year-olds and their parents or carers. See the panel or contact Rosanne Young for more information.
Who let the Dads out?
Who let the Dads out? is a fun play group for Dads and their children under 5 years old which meets on the first Saturday of each month, 9:30am till 11.30am. £1.50 per family, including a bacon roll! Contact Katharyne Crosse for more information.
We have Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers and also Rainbows and Brownies who all meet regularly in our halls. Please call the church office for contact details.
