EA: How can we respond to the aid cuts?

This week: Our response to the aid cuts, and an invite to our hybrid mission webinar

How can we respond to the aid cuts?

Dear Peter,

Earlier this week, I felt a righteous anger as I read about the UK Government’s cut to overseas development. While we in the UK have been hit hard by coronavirus, many poorer countries have been hit so much harder. Now is the time when we should be remembering people around the world.

Please unite in prayer with me for those who will be affected by this and read the latest article by our head of advocacy. Danny Webster explains how these cuts expose the limits of the law, and encourages us as Christians to press our government to be generous and compassionate, advocating from hearts that lead the way in kindness and sacrifice.

Next Thursday we’re co-hosting the Mission in a hybrid world webinar at 2pm, when you can explore the opportunities for mission and evangelism in virtual spaces. We hope you will find it helpful as we navigate the changing times. We’ve learnt many new skills during the pandemic, and I am excited about how we use them in the year ahead.

Keep going, God bless, and let’s keep praying for those around us to know Jesus.
