Dear friends

As expected London has moved into Tier 3 of the Covid-19 restrictions. After reviewing the situation it has been decided to continue offering in person worship as well as audio services. However this will be kept under review and may change in the future.

4th Sunday of Advent

This Sunday the all age team will be leading the Christmas Tree Service at St Andrew’s. An Audio recording of the service will be available on the website. It will also be available on the phone line (020 3870 2810) but only from 10:30am until 4pm on Sunday to allow Wallington’s service of carols and readings to be heard from 4pm.

Christmas Eve

There will be one Christingle Service at 4pm and this is now fully booked. This service will not be available online or via the phone line but please remember those who will be attending as this will include many people who don’t usually come to worship at St Andrew’s.

There will be a service of Welcome to Christmas at 11.30pm which will not be recorded and therefore not available online or via the phone line.

Christmas Day

An all-age service will be held in the church at 10.30am and a more reflective service will be available via the phone line and website from 10.30am. This service will reflect on Bruegel the Elder’s Census at Bethlehem.

Sunday 27th December

We shall join together for worship again at 10.30am and the service will be available online and via the phone line.

A reminder that services can be accessed by calling 020 3870 2810 or through the church website.

There will be no letter next week so I will take this opportunity to wish you and those whom you love a Happy Christmas and a peaceful and healthy New Year.

Wherever you went, your presence brought peace.
The night you were born angels sang a greeting of peace
‘Peace on Earth and Goodwill to all’
As a man, whenever you entered a home you greeted it with peace
‘Peace be with You’.
Let that peace rule our hearts, let us be aware of your calming presence.

May we know that peace in this waiting time.
