Harvest 2020

Jenni Dickinson writes:

Our Harvest service this year will be on Sunday 18 October at both St Andrew’s and Wallington URCs. This year we are inviting you to make gifts in support of the Sutton Women’s Refuge.

Corned beef

They would especially like tinned meat - corned beef, stewed beef in any form, ham or anything else that you think would be useful, and also any tinned fish and jars of pasta sauces. Some of the residents are good cooks and a limited amount of fresh produce would be welcome. If you would like to give fresh produce, please phone me (020 8642 9516) so that I can monitor how much we are likely to collect so that they are not deluged with more than their nine families can use. They would also like children’s tights and socks, ladies’ socks or umbrellas.

It may be easier for some people to give money which I will convert into supermarket vouchers. Money can be given by clicking on the ‘Donate’ button on the church website and selecting ‘Harvest offering’, by sending a cheque to the church office, or by using the card machine at the sound desk after our morning worship.

I will be happy to drive to any of you to pick up any donations from your home and I will deliver all our gifts to the refuge after our service.
