Psalm 139:14 ‘I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.’ What a revelation! To know that He knew us as he formed us, He knew our purposes and plans, He knew our weaknesses and strengths. He made us, as fully as He intended. So much of the pain that is spoken of today is of a world full of people who seem to have not yet found that acceptance. The acceptance that comes from knowing there is a God who made them and loves them, and that they can therefore find purpose and meaning in themselves. This comes from knowing Him first, then knowing where we fit in His love. As we go into our schools all over the borough, as we seek to tell children and young people of the truths of the Gospel and the love our Lord has for them, please pray that we might, through the power of the Holy Spirit, find moments of breakthrough. We are given the privilege of speaking directly into the lives of thousands of children a term, and we are so grateful to God for His provision in this, but we know each contact is but a fraction of their day, and thus has to be seized and cherished. To know that the prayer warriors of the borough are raising us up, asking our Lord for these opportunities, these moments that could be life-changing, gives us such a sense of confidence, it enables us to keep on going. Our new Christian unions are beginning to get established, albeit with low numbers, but we know that God is working and will bring in His harvest. We just need to be there, ready for when He does. Our primary schools continue to welcome us, and Sarah and the team are in at least one virtually every day. Churches are asking for information, raising funds, and praying. Supporters are phoning, writing and dropping in to encourage us. Our Helping Hands crew of older ladies come along and cut out the shapes for primary school packs. And our prayer warriors ask God for power, guidance and wisdom for the work of Sutton Schools Work. I would ask for two specific prayers this month:- Year 6 children stepping up to Year 7. Sarah is running Transit sessions with some of them soon, and prayer is vital for this work to prosper. Harris Academy Secondary School. We have just spent a whole week running RE lessons and were incredibly warmly received. Our desire is to plant a Christian Union there, but the link teacher indicated, although very supportive, that she would need to offer something identical to all faiths for this to be allowed. I would suggest this is virtually impossible to achieve, and would ask for your prayers to seek a breakthrough. Thank you for your faithful prayers, we are so grateful and humbled.
That we can raise the funds to help support the resources we use/give out
For the creativity & ideas to adapt the drama we use in the workshops to suit the amount of volunteers we have
For us to be able to fill all the available slots with schools
For the young people joining us – that they can be excited about it & not too nervous
2. School Bookings This is the time of year where we are busily booking on dates for the next school year, please pray that all doors remain open in schools, perhaps one or two new ones open & we can fit everything in to the calender that schools would like.
