SSW: Appeal for funding

Sutton Schoolswork
TRANSIT WORKSHOP APPEAL
May 2019
Please help us fund the resources for our Year 6 Transit workshop. This allows us to keep this FREE to schools, deliver the workshop to over 1000 pupils & give each year 6 a copy of the ‘It’s your move’ book preparing them for their move to secondary school.

After taking a break last year from our Transition workshops both our primary & secondary team are excited to team up with local young people to bring these back into local churches.
Transit is a 2 hour workshop that aims to prepare year 6 pupils to make a successful transition to secondary school, it includes a drama on the life of Joseph, an iwonder space & a lesson.
Through Transit SSW seeks to:

Provide children with the space to reflect on their experiences of primary schools & their hopes, fears & questions about their transition to secondary school.
  • Help children explore their personal strengths & values.
  • Provide opportunities for children to learn about the biblical character of Joseph & the Christian belief that God is with them wherever they go & whatever they face.
  • Help children celebrate their achievements & their hopes for the future.
  • Empower children with practical ideas about how to thrive in their new environment.
