EA: Equipping you for the election

Reflections, resources and events from the Evangelical Alliance

Let’s get equipped for the election

Dear Peter

The countdown to Christmas has begun for many, and so has the countdown to the General Election.

With exactly five weeks to go before the people of UK are given the opportunity to cast their vote, we are keen to equip you as best we can with the tools and guidance you need to engage effectively in this political process.

So, we have…

  • Launched a series of devotionals, based on the Psalms of Ascents, to help you reflect and pray during the election campaign.
  • Released guidance and information to assist those who plan to hold a hustings event.
  • Set up an election blog, which will provide comment, updates and analysis on key political themes.
  • As mentioned last week, launched a prayer diary, which features weekly prayer and daily prayer points to help you pray during the campaign.

Do keep an eye on our General Election 2019 page, as these four resources will be updated weekly. If you have any specific queries about how evangelical Christians can intercede on behalf of our country in the run-up to the election, please contact us on

Now, may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
