Tearfund: Make the switch

Hi, Peter

Join in

It’s here! Later this week, the World Bank will hold its annual meetings - and they have the power to make a difference to millions of people living in poverty.

We’re so grateful for the support you’ve already shown for our Light up the Darkness campaign. Over 10,000 of you have signed our petition calling on the World Bank to invest more in off-grid renewable energy, which best helps people in poverty. Thank you!

Today we’re launching a new film on Twitter or Facebook, directed at the World Bank. It includes voices from the UK and around the world of people showing their support for more investment in off-grid renewables. We would love you to join in and reply to this video with your own video or photo calling on the World Bank to light up the darkness.

Will you share a smile and ask the World Bank to Light up the Darkness?

3 simple steps to get involved today:

1. Watch the film on Twitter or Facebook

2. Take a photo or film yourself saying the phrase “World Bank, we want you to light up the darkness!”

3. Share your own photo or video telling the @Worldbank to #Lightupthedarkness on Twitter or Facebook

Share a smile today and show the World Bank you care.

Every blessing,

Kit Powney, Tearfund Action

PS If you're not on social media you could email us at campaigns@tearfund.org with your picture and we'll add them to our montage.
