We won’t stop until poverty stops.
Tackling the biggest causes of poverty starts with the church; it starts with us. When we put our faith into action we begin to see lives restored, and we join with thousands of Christians around the world who are taking action to Renew our World. Working together, our voice is amplified to influence decision-makers to change policies and practices and help unlock people’s God-given potential.
The quickest and cheapest way to improve access to energy for people living in poverty is through energy such as solar power which is local, clean and renewable. This will bring light to dark places, without damaging God’s creation or contributing to climate change.
The UK spends money on improving access to energy through the World Bank, which aims to end extreme poverty by 2030. But currently only three per cent of the Bank's energy funding goes on the local, clean and renewable energy that best helps people in poverty, while billions are spent on polluting fossil fuels.
Will you put your faith into action today? Join us by asking the UK government's representative to the World Bank to invest in local, clean and renewable energy, shifting the balance of its funding away from fossil fuels.
