UNITED REFORMED CHURCH
Holiday Club information
Dates, time, prices and so on are on the Holiday Club booking page.
A nominated photographer will take pictures of individual or groups of children during Holiday Club. These photographs may be used in St Andrew’s printed publications, on display boards or in an area of the church website accessible only to parents and club volunteers. We do not identify children by name in any of these uses. We would be very grateful if you can grant permission for this, but if you feel unable to do so we will do our best to exclude or blur your child(ren) from these photos.
By booking your children into Holiday Club you consented to the following:
- You give permission for the child(ren) you register to take part in the activities of the Holiday Club at St Andrew’s Church
- You understand that while involved, your child(ren) will be under the control and care of the group leader and/or other adults approved by the church leadership and that, while the staff in charge of the group will take all reasonable care of the children, they cannot necessarily be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury suffered by your child(ren) during, or as a result of, the activity.
- You understand that every effort will be made to contact you as soon as possible should your child become ill or have an accident, and that your child will be given first aid/medical/dental treatment as necessary.
In the event that we have to cancel Holiday Club entirely for whatever reason, all fees will be refunded in full.
If you wish to cancel all or any of your children’s attendance at Holiday Club we will refund the fees paid if we are able to resell the places. Planning for Holiday Club starts many months in advance and we buy supplies for the crafts, games, decorations and other items well before the club begins. For that reason we are sorry that we cannot make refunds for cancelled places that we cannot fill.
If you have to cancel please let us know as soon as possible by email to holiday, club or by phone to the office on 020 8642 5000.
If you are able to find substitutes for your children, we can usually accommodate them at no extra cost. Please let us know as soon as possible if you wish to do this as we have to balance the children between groups by age.
This year, in the light of the uncertainties surrounding coronavirus, if we are forced to cancel the in-person club because of Government regulations, or because our assessment of the risks makes it unwise to hold the club, we will offer a refund all money paid, but we will operate an online club, similar to the one we did in 2020, and will invite donations to offset the costs which we will still incur.
In other cases, if you need to cancel as a direct result of the pandemic - for example because you are ill with Covid-19 or are required to self-isolate - we will refund your payment. If that is the case, please let us know as soon as practical.
If you cancel for another reason then our policy will normally be as in the first paragraph above, but please let us know if you feel there are exceptional circumstances which we should consider.
At the end of each club day we will only release your child/ren to the person holding a pass which we will issue, or providing a password which you can provide at registration.
A qualified first-aider will be present at all times when children are present.
We will hold securely the information you provide relating to you and your children until next year so that we can invite you to join next year’s holiday club at St Andrew’s, after which it will be deleted.
